Live Earth

I found my Fila green shirt and I wore it for drum class. Everyone else in Singapore was wearing every colour other than green, only a handful did. My mum knows nothing about this Live Earth. She thinks it's a joke.

How funny. I got so irritated when people say they don't care and they live on earth.

AL GORE; Former U.S. Vice President Al Gore is the author of An Inconvenient Truth, the best-selling book on the threat of and solutions to global warming and the subject of the movie of the same title, which has been nominated for two Academy Awards.

Isn't it.

Back to the drum lesson, the teacher taught us an easy method to do an open hi-hat and ride on and off bell.

Out.

Oh Pizza Hut

At home, I was sufing the net, trying to make sense of the Autbots game. (Transformer) Then, take part in some MTV contests hoping to win some Fantastic Four, Harry Potter, Fall Out Boy, Die Hard 4.0 or Transformer stuff. I'm so disappointed for not being able to go to Christina Aguilera 'Back to Basics' Concert.

It is so fun watching Smosh's exaggerating and lame videos on Youtube. 7.7.07, New York City. Finally, I went to meet Yixin and Zhiwei at Somerset. Kelvin gave all the part-timers a treat. I had 1 slice of chocolate birthday cake, 2 tiny drumsticks, 2 cups of Pepsi, 3 1/2 slices of pizza and a little ice cream.

On the way home, I have a nice chat with Yixin on human psychology and mindset. Particularly of Singaporeans and Americans. I personally think that we should always follow our heart, not our head when we are choosing our careers. It's all about job and life satisfaction which is far more meaningful and far reaching than material comforts. I guess that's why, people came up with a song called "listen to your heart". Then we met Shijiao and Haoxiang at Jurong East. They returned from some chinese drama thingy. Hmm...

Back at home, we celebrated Dad's birthday and I had some more chicken wings, french fries and satays. Oh gosh, this is too much for the day. Things are really getting out of hand.

The last siginificant event of the day; I got back my progress report. Surprisingly, I passed my GP and chinese! For the first time, I was grinning with satsfaction with an E. I wouldn't have make it if my active partipation wasn't 4.8 out of 5. My mum is going to nag at me for lousy grades anyway but it will make her less pissed. Hopefully.

She don't understand that nagging only irritate not motivate. It is actually all on myself.

Please work hard for common test.
Go lin. Kaolin.

Transformer

I met up with Sheryl and Shimin to watch the Transformer. Sheryl's sister and her friend tagged along.

Another quality film. All the flying, running, shooting... The theatre was filled with laughter and exclamation.

After that, I went home and had to wait outside for 45 minutes because I forgot my keys. No one was at home. Fortunately, I managed to get in before Harry Potter and the prisoner of Azkaban started and we feast. Happy Youth Day.

Movie Freak.
Fiction movie always rocks.

Chilli 'Crap' and 'Beard'

Finally, the ice breaks. I won't take it too hard either.

I went shopping with mum and sis at OG and we spent a lot and win ourselves a chance to take part in the grand lucky draw. Hopefully, we'll win something. Then, we were suppose to meet bro but he didn't turn up and so we left without him.

There's a 'Chilli Crab Festival' going on, in front of Ngee Ann City and opposite of Paragon. The food there were like ordinary but the combinations are like... Let me give some examples; Roti prata and curry chicken, sweet and sour kang kong sphagetti and satay tortilla. There was of course ordinary food but we chose the extraordinary ones and drank Whatever and Anything.

It's uniquely Singapore!

Anyway, we went to shop shop shop again and we reached home really late.

Bye peeps.

Short Update

School reopened. Yesterday was the fruit bat incident in JJ. I really enjoyed the whole incident. I know I sound mean but it's funny and cruel at the same time. What am I talking about?

Anyway, I'd switched to individual drumming which will commence in August which is suggested by my teacher. Hope everything turns out well. I'm gonna repeat again; my classmates are really nice.

Very motivated in life.
Drumming rocks.

Very Random

My computer is infected with Trojan and is running very slowly. I'd downloaded more programs like Ad-aware 2007, Active Virus Shield and Kelylogger Hunter but it seems like it can only temporarily remove it and the viruses will be back again. Argh.

Quarantine.

Quarantine.

Last friday night, I'd got nothing to do because I didn't want to study my Organic Chemistry nor do my Maths, so I watched Channel 5 and oh my gosh, it's Ghost Whisperer Season 2 episode 1. I didn't know it was back.

I really enjoy the show and I always had to grasp the cushion halfway through the show, the climax. How exciting. Haha. Then, I will start thinking about life and death before I sleep and imagination will run wild.

I'm not exactly normal.
Slammed. I forgot there isn't any door.

7.37pm.

I'd just finished watching all Happy Slip videos. She's hilarious. Great sense of humour and talents. If you haven't, check it out

It's a great way to laugh out loud watching Happy Slip and Hossan Leong before the school reopens. About my computer, my bro solved it already.

Marvellous.

Rise of the Silver Surfer

Yesterday, I went to Yamaha. There's a guy playing some Pirates tunes with the accoustic guitar and staff packing the shells into the boxes. Many people were scanning around for their favourite instruments. Took a look at the Gigmaker then I noticed that there wasn't suspension and decided to hold on for a little more for more options.

I guess, I had to buy it later after the GST rise to 7%. I really had to wait until the school reopens to sort out my schedule.

Back to the main point, I went to watch movie with Sheryl, her sister and Hui. Ben Grimm and Chris Evans are as funny as ever. I really enjoy the scene when the quarterback slash antagonist was zapped into black charcoal.

Hmm...

Fiction movies rocks.

Teacher was so nice to me.
Flame on.

Finally

I'll be working till this saturday which means that I can make it for the gathering on sunday.

I don't understand why you can only score when you write melancholy, remorseful or immaculate. There's got to be more to it. Reflection isn't the only thing and humour certainly don't work.

History is certainly going to repeat itself.

Chinese makes me so depress.

Can I just say *uck you. *UCK. *UCK. So damn PISSED by this *ucking customer.

I apologise for being so obscene. I'm just too annoyed.

What happen to skulker

Last night, not many people went for the barbecue. I just feel that something is missing but I don't know what is it. Met up with some old friends and it was pleasant to see them again. As usual, some were very sarcastic but I didn't really mind. I know they are just crapping and playing around.

I was so tired and kept yawning during today's geography lecture. I nearly fall asleep. Geography always make sense to me not like some chim subjects that I can never grasp.

I can't seem to find time to do my homework and project work is left hanging. I think I need to quit my job really soon or I'll end up in a really bad state. I also wanna find time to watch Fantastic Four.

Why can't there be more hours in a day? The stupid time table for next term is not out yet and I can't change my lesson schedule too.

Feel like buying a drumset but the bedroom is too small and I still had to inform the neighbours which is like so troublesome. Anyway, I'm too tired to think about everything. I really need a break and more time...

I shall quit my job.

Sayonara.

The End

Went down to school again. I simply feel like pouring acid down my throat to cease the tingling feeling. Kept coughing and no syrups worked. The soups didn't work as well.

I totally forgot about the chinese creative writing until Kee Seng reminded me. I was like rushing through it and kept asking him how to write the chinese words. Finally, I completed it in less than half an hour and placed it in the pigeon hole. Dammit. Sure to fail that one as well but at least it's better than getting a zero.

The final plan was to go down to Bizlink at Bedok. I must say I learnt a lot of things through the programme, information wise only. In terms of application, there is still more to go. I guess the socrastic method did work for me.

Quite.

I used to think that way but it was left on the backstove simmering, until it was brought up again. After that, I completed my reflection and collected my physics file. The teacher actually flipped through my thick notes and wrote comments. Most of them were "Incomplete" or "Checked".

I'll try to work harder. I really want to but sometimes I just can't bring myself to do it. I seriously need some self-motivation.

Then, I waited so damn long for 198.
Stupid bus.

Out.

Programme

I attended a talk at Cordlife as well as had a really short tour of the laboratory. I was really bored and exhausted. Anyway, I did learn a lot from it.

I wonder if I should go for the second and third day. Having a really bad cough because of an irritated throat so mum boiled the apple and bittergourd soup for me. Weird combination but it tasted quite okay. Then, I had to drink another bowl of peppermint leaves soup.

So damn bloated.

It's been 3 and a 1/2 years already. It rocks!

Signing out.

Feel like dancing

I simply love the groovy music played at the department store. Trying to C walk there, can't imagine that.

I'd learned a lot from my workmates especially Andy. They are really nice and friendly people.

Although the Great Singapore Sale is on, it is a weekday and hence not many people went shopping. Then, Gerald came and said he went around measuring people's backside. (Of course those who allow him to do so) It was done out of boredom and then guys were playing around.

He tried to measure Nurul's, Ana's and mine too. Of course he didn't succeed. We are all on our guards. Ana called him a pervert, Nurul said he was childish.

When I was going up by escalator, he called me.

"You really don't want to measure your backside arh?"

Gerald: I helped Jean measure already. Hers is 37.
Jean: I'm very proud of my figure.

I must say that they seriously aren't normal and definitely very lively. Work is really fun with crazy people, with them.

Coincidentally, I met Bing Bing at my workplace. She is still wearing the 70s Hush Puppies uniform and she told me that she was working there for one day only. Renovation was going on in OG Albert and I look forward to see the new Menswear section which I once work at.

She told me that Eddy is going to the Ladies shoes and no more bombs for her.

Ciao.

Celebration

Thanks to Shimin, Eunice and Yixin for spending a bomb for my birthday present. I really like the bag.

^.^

Thanks for the memorable Friday night. I noticed Venus in the sky that Mr Chew mentioned. I guess when you know something, you will keep imagining things like aliens, UFOs and dreams. So unbelievable but it's in my head for the whole day. Ermm...

Maybe, it's true. Maybe not.

The nifty late night movie is so cool. We watched until 1.30am in the morning. The movie is of course Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End. I've catch all the episodes of the movies like Harry Potter.

No more buses after the movie and we had to take taxi back home.

Thanks a lot, rockers.

Selamat Hari Jadi

It's a very special day.

I received three special messages very early in the morning. From Sheryl, John and Kee Seng. It's my birthday. Then, I received more birthday messages from Liu Chin, Shi Jiao, Hao Xiang, Sylvia, Xiao Ting and Debbie. Thanks to Kai Shi for wishing me too.

How nice.

I mean I'd been really depressed over the past few weeks though I tried really hard to be cheerful and stuff.

Class 07S24 sent me a birthday card and Hershey chocolate. I really like the card. Most if it was about smiling and staying happy. It is always heart warming to receive cards with sincere messages. Did I mention that my class is a fantastic one? From an apathetic school life, they made me smile by doing crappy stuff. They are really amusing people who brighten up my day from the very first day and change my perspective of schoolling.

I like the birthday song too, though I always feel funny and kinda of shy when people are really really nice to me. Xin Yi and Jesslyn very lame la. Thanks to Yang Ce and Yong En too. My Y.E.S company and manager is buying me a really nice school bag.

I love 07S24!

After school, I met up with buddies in secondary school to collect my certificate as well as to have a chat with Mr Tan. He was really nice to day. He treated us Mcfluffy, french fries and ice milo. Yummy. Oh ya, Yi Fang slip into the pond. Only one leg went in and she had some mud stained on her shirt and skirt. Darn.

Haha. You know I'm kidding. I didn't mean it. ROFL.

By the way, I completed my Inline skating and got a certificate for basic inline skating. I can skate! At least I know how to do an A frame hor.

A big thank you to everyone that made my day. Apart from the hectic school life of taking eight tests this week and failing my GP and chinese composition, everything went smoothly. Thanks to sis for buying me a shirt though I'm really mean sometimes. Almost everytime.

Gotta go. Math test tomorrow.

I'm busy but I still blog anyway.

Curry Puff Emo Day

"I know I 'd made a lot of mistakes but I don't regret making any of them.
Because if I hadn't made them, I wouldn't know how to make things right." (13, 30)

I regret.

I don't like to study but I still go to college. I didn't like sciences but I chose the science stream. I don't like to speak but I had to.

If there is a meaning in life, I think I haven't found one. I do things for the sake of doing it, everything is just a burden. It's a question that kept me thinking but I do not know the solution to it.

I admire those who didn't undergo education but something else. Like street dancing, magic and so on. They were bold enough to take such a huge risk which will perhaps end them up in nowhere. Their infinite love and passion for what they really want and the hard work they put in to make things right really inspired me. On the other hand, it made me feel so small.

"You should not go into music unless it is a compulsion. In the end, all you really have as a center is music itself. Make sure that you have to be with it everyday. If that's true, then you should become a musician." - Michael Tilson Thomas.

I think it applies for everything else. If you dread it, you hate it.

Everything sucks right now.

Maybe I should put in effort to change. Maybe I shouldn't. I'm not good enough.

I really don't understand. Why do people ask things that they know the person never tell?
Everyone have their own darkest secrets.

You know better.

Garbo

About Survivor Fiji, I'm so glad that Earl won.

Today's drum lesson was just playing a simple piece by Raymond O'Sullivan. The score is simply a dead one and makes you fall asleep halfway.

Then, the teacher showed us how to improvise it by adding in the open hi-hat and different fill in.

On my way home, I ran into Jia Hui. I thought some concrete fall on my shoulder but it was actually her pressing on it. My walking style must be so unique that she can identify me from the back. She's meeting the people to celebrate Sylvia's birthday.

I realised that I will have no time to blog in the coming week so, I wish an early
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO SYLVIA TAN YANQI and TAN XIAOTING!

Feel like playing harmonica. Feel like singing. Dial 4 please.

Photog Camp

I failed my chinese oral but I passed my physics lecture test. Anyway, I went for the camp.

I took lots of picture around and in the Esplanade. Most of it are just casual shots. Then, we went back to the school and watched a Thai horror film, Shutter.

It's related to photography but that was not the point. It was more on the female ghost.

Then we played the CSI game to find murderer of "Rachel" by taking photographs of the evidences. The hanging of body, fingerprints and the atmosphere... It was actually somewhat similar to my Project Work's idea. It is not unique anymore.
Geez.

The following day, we had our breakfast, photograph reviews and interviews for the positions and that was it.

Jokers not only joke. They make sense.
Bye.

Spiderman III

I'm back for updates.

Last night, Aunt, Uncle, cousins, bro and I went to catch the free movie, Spiderman III. My bro and I waited for so long and they finally came.

We got lost.

Again. Never mind that.

At Bugis cineplex, we got the goodies bag (just a small Crispy chocolate, one packet of Oreo and a small bottle of mineral water) and buy some popcorns and drinks in the cinema. Then we went in the theatre. It was complete darkness.

My cousin asked me if I were to be one of the characters in Spiderman, what will I be.

She said she wanna be the Sandman, do wrong things but was forgiven. I wanna be Spiderman, do wrong things, was forgiven plus you forgive people. Erh... Anyway, I really like the gothic look of Peter Parker.

After the movies, we went to the Seven storey to have our dinner. I was thinking that, if I have the time, I can spend all day watching the clouds.

It's a nice day. On the way back, my cousin, bro and I talked from formulae of physics to maths and so on... It reminds me that I failed all my lecture tests. Kinda of exaggerating but it was only two of them. It was enough to make me feel bad for the rest of the week.

More assignments and tutorials to do. Chemistry, Math, Geography and Physics tests coming up.

Worst of all, my Physics 'A' levels SPA is on the coming Friday. "Relax, take it easy. Nothing to worry. Breathe in Breathe..."

Out.

Review

I just had some of the 1 kg of chocolate my brother brought home. So chocolatey man! I had to use physics Pressure= Force/Area to break it up nicely. How scientific.

Today was the deadline for the submission of Project Work. A few hours before twelve, my CT was talking about how to write a good PI... I'm like what!!! Don't tell me anything, it will make my PI looks bad. Whatever. It's over and the GPP begins. I still remember what happened last week. The class was dicussing whether we can put a picture in our PI and the teacher said no, because a picture speaks a thousand words and it will be way over the word limit. How funny. In the end, we were allowed to put a tiny little picture but I didn't.

I was browsing Flickr just now and I saw Bob Lee the Jiuhukia. He was a photojournalist and he came to give a talk on photography yesterday. For the first time, I felt that a photographer can really be super rich. A contest's top prizes can be like 1000 bucks to like 15 000 bucks. Tsk tsk. More about the man, he can really take nice pictures and he is funny. He said things which turned out to be jokes but his opinions and ideas are really useful.

My whole body is still aching now after the hellish PC plus the inline skating. I hurt my tailbone. (I must remember to lower my CG before I brake.) Well, at least I learnt how to skate.

I'm half dead.

The worst thing is that there is PC tomorrow. Argh.
Slaughter me please.
Nah.
Out.

Over the Moon

I played with Mr. Toms today. Two words - Satisfying.

That's one word.

I finally understood why the stroking are like that. It is because it is just like that. Things go smoothly that way. I was jumping out of class. Too happy that I'd learn something new, more in depth. The pace was just right for the majority. Feel like catching some movie but I can't. When will Matt give me my March pay? Argh. I hate waiting.

My school record, "Yoga is hip"

Finally, other school week ended! I'm feeling so happy that I'd finally completed my PI and submitted to my teacher. I wonder if there will be another roof top consultation. Hmm... Quite a few things happened.

I had my first ever Yoga session today.

Basically, I was laughing through the entire session. It was so much fun. I simply just can't understand why some people choose not to go for it when it's all about relaxation of the mind, body and soul. It is compulsory for J1s anyway. I enjoy it more than the fucking physical conditioning. I ran 2.8km this week. Isn't it more obvious that yoga is much more enjoyable? It's not stupid doing some weird positions, everyone is doing it anyway. The yoga class brought me through the math lecture which I had never survived. I managed not to doze off and so does my classmates. How amazing.

Looking forward to Inline Skating on 24th April.

Alone

Today's drum lesson was so fun. The teacher encouraged us to smash the cymbals and whack the snare drum. My eardrum was ringing when I got outside of the studio. How nice. Then, I went to have some fast food and catch a movie. I decided to watch Freedom Writers because I just happened to see Will.i.am and Common hosting a Freedom Writers show on MTV.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

It's a really nice and touching movie. Teachers and students are practically shouting at each other at first about respect and everything else. I think if a student ever do that in Singapore schools, he or she will be send for counselling. Perhaps it explained why foreign students are more expressive.

To think, how many teachers in the world would put so much effort into teaching and understanding the students? To even give them new books and free rides? How rich? Anyway, it's nice.

Moving legs

Today is Good Friday and I went to the temple to pray, together with my family members. I had been feeling so sick since sunday. The reason was for running in the rain without umbrella and then in air-con condition after that. My fever ran high to 39 degrees and I had a 2 day MC. I was afraid of missing out too much in school, so I was only on 1 day MC. To tell the truth, I haven't recover from it yet.

About my drum lesson, my teacher mispronounced my name. The class has 10 students, in which five were male, the other 5 were female, including me. That means we are proportional. Yay. Wait a minute, the teacher was a male. Let's just leave him out of of the picture. I was surprised to actually see some girls wearing skirts to drumming lessons. How weird? I wouldn't have done that. There was an uncle in the class who was so enthusiastic and kept posting questions for the teacher. Then, there was a very young boy in the class and I doubt that he was at least of age 14. (minimum age)

I have totally no idea for my PI because tasks set allows very little ideas to flow in. The deadline is drawing close. I don't think I can survive. Dammit. I'd thought of a theme for my photography project after seeing the beautiful skyline from my kitchen window.

I'm done.
My classmates are jokers. Out.

Convivial

Today was the official gathering of Y.E.S and manager. I lost my way again and had to walk a long long way back to Queensway. Dammit. I'm always the noob, the suay and the drained. Finally, I collected the 9 1/2 Gold Star Trophy for Eunice, the birthday girl.

Then, I met up with Yi Xin and had Long John Silver combo in Fuji Ice Palace. Coincidentally, there was a championship going on in there, by the Singapore Ice Skating Association. I was so impressed by the all the spinnings done by the kids. It reminded me that Inline Skating is commencing really soon. (It sort of like linked up) Shimin arrived later.

When everyone was there, we went for k boxing. At first, it was really boring and kinda of awkward as I don't know how to sing chinese songs. Then, I decided to be a little more enthusiastic, so I tried to sing the songs. The rest also helped me choose english songs. Haha. Overall, it was very fun.

Pictures.

P.S: If you are wondering why Yi Xin was not in most of the photos, it's because she was the photographer.

Relax!?

I met up with Shimin to collect her spectacles today. One was of orange and black frame, the other was red and black. We then went down to Plaza Singapura to buy my drumsticks and drum textbook.

We took our time looking around the shop, from guitars to keyboards and so on. I bought a 5A hickory stick but the textbook went out of stocks. Afterwards, we went to KFC to have our lunch and headed down to meet Yi Fang, Debbie and Xiao Ting. The five of us had gone out together many times. On our way there, Shimin and I bumped into an indian man who asked us to donate for "Trust Leaf" and we did.

We went shopping together at Bugis Street and in OG Albert. I went to see Serene and Ya Ying. Ah Yan was having a headache and went home early while Bing Bing was having her dinner. I chatted with them and the is a new brand of underwear, Raw. The name is so lame. Then, the Docker's friend called me. She is nineteeen by the way and always call me "Ah mei". I guess it's because I'm younger and she don't know my name. I don't know hers either.

I was really suprised that they recognised me in my nerdy spectacles. I'm really glad to see them again. Serene reminded me to come down again with Rosalind and I agreeded. I don't want to break her heart. Whatever.

Then, went to buy more shoes and I had my favourite japanese food, Takoyaki. I love the batter, mayonnaise and katsuobushi. Actually, I just love everything.

It's a nice day.

Fifth day in school

Things take a turn for the better in junior college and I'm dying to get into photographic society. I haven't decided what to take for IDP. I started to stick with Yifang's classmates and two of them really looked the same to me. I had found a way to distinguish them and I shall not disclose my technique. Whatever. (I don't think people would even want to find this out) Lectures went fast and I really find maths very difficult. I mean I do understand the content but I spent so long doing the tutorial worksheet. WTF.

I met my OG 8 mates in bus 198. They are really really friendly though I did not really know them.

Counting down to 8 days to YDC. My wound started to heal.

First day in school

Mum woke me up this morning and made me chicken bread. Yummy! I stuffed everything into my mouth when the bus was approaching. My mouth is so full that I had difficulty chewing it and everyone was like staring at me. I then quickly find a seat and settled down.

I'm in 07S24 and I made friends already. Four of them. I forgotten most of their names already. In fact, I only remembered one. Hehe. I'm really suffering from STM but it is okay as I have many more months to know them. I can't believe that it went so much smoothly then in camp. Lectures are okay and I found out that a friend (Team JJ leader) I talk to on admin day was a teacher. I was so suprised when she step up and started introducing herself. A teacher in disguise, how weird. I wonder if there a need to do all that?

I bought many things in the knowledge box. Yifang is so funny when she was looking at the saamples of the shirts. It is serious too long for her. Haha.

After school, I went to watch "Stomp the Yard" with Yi Xin and Wei Long. I met my OG friends so many times on the way day. The theatre was filled with so many JJcians. The movie was pretty nice.

Wei Long started crapping with me so I crap with him too. Hmm, I didn't see him for many months and his tie is really retro. He gave me 3 bucks because he had no change.

Yixin and I took some pictures...

I chatted a lot with her.

I renewed my ez link card. Instead of "beep" it became "beep beep".

March Holidays

It's been so relaxing for the past few days. About yesterday morning, 5 of us went to the east coast park. As usual, I was late. I always got held up with things which made me an unpunctual person. It was a long way there and we chatted about being in junior colleges.

I enjoy biking at full speed. I must apologise to Yi Fang for scaring the hell out of her. (She said that herself.)

I'm so sorry. Don't held it against me for I'm guilty enough. Hehe.
For those who want to know more details, don't approach me. Ask the victim herself.

We took hell lots of pictures and I shall post some. (In chronological series.)

My favourite picture in Macdonalds.

One of the soles of Xiao Ting's shoe peeled off and she bought a pair of slippers. Debbie bought one too.

Cute.

At the beach.

Footwear.

Yi Fang's footprint.

In the underpass.

I took this picture while we were walking up and out of the underpass. I like it a lot. Doesn't it look like a bunch of people walking into light for reincarnation? I name this photo "Stairway to heaven." Wahaha. (No offence to the models in the the picture. You are still alive.)

After that, we accompanied Yi Fang to Wheelock to collect her nokia phone. That's about it.

Tanny Tanned Day

Arh!! I just looked in the mirror and found myself much more tanned than I was in the orientation camp! I love to get tanned because it makes me feel healthy but I hate being tanned unevenly. It is so obvious please. Dammit.

I went to Sentosa all by myself. I totally hate 51. My butt hurts so much as the ride was like so long. I was getting panicky then I saw this cute guy in front of me.

I then tapped on his shoulders.
Me: Excuse me, do you know if this bus goes to Harbourfront? (In chinese)
Guy: I'm sorry, I don'tttt... unnnderstand chinese.
Me: Oh, I'm sorry. Do you know if this bus goes to Harbourfront?
(In english)
Guy: Ya...ya
Me: How long will it take?
Guy:
(Gesture to me his two fingers.)
Me: Oh, two minutes?
Guy:
(Nod his head)

After two minutes, I found myself in Geylang. WTF. I'm so angry with that guy but he was gone already. Moral of the story: Do not judge a book by its cover. The content is more important.

I was so embarrassed when I alighted the bus as the bus driver was like " You go there! There! Take bus 80 to go harbourfront!" I know he was being helpful but it was like so damn embarrassing when all the people at the bus stop stare at you like you are some kind of kampong kia. Wa lao! Typical Singaporeans.

That was just an opinion.

Anyway, I finally reached the Siloso beach thanks to Lin Sing's super clear instructions. We had soccer games and went cycling later on. I love the turtles as they are really cute. I want one in my fish tank! Then, we played the concentration game. The forfeits are so nasty but it was fun. Haha. Then, we went for a bath and head down to Marina Bay to have steamboat. The food is not exactly nice but as I didn't have my breakfast, lunch and dinner, so-so food tasted good.

We then visited the arcade and I lost to Sylvia twice in the car racing game. Arhh! I haven't improve a bit in the past four years. Then, the tag car game. Yeong Sheng lost three times in a row though he was trying to avoid his fate. Finally, we said bye.

More words.

I'm a really organise person though it does not reflect in my attire and my bedroom.
I'm kinda thrifty.
I follow my heart rather than my head.
I always have something different to say.
I'm impulsive and tend to regret my actions later.
I'm emo.
I am always having embarrassing moments that I'm so used to it now.

Oh my god. That makes me a total freak. (Dancing and posing while listening to Avril Lavigne's Girlfriend) So addictive.

Friends are really really nice.

Back to school

I went down to Yuhua today. Bought some menthol strepsils as my throat is still sore and dry. It's really weird as I really didn't cheer much at the camp. I kept coughing till I suck one lozenge with my tongue. Ahhh!! Whatever.

I was welcomed by the weird version of Canon in D by the graduates. Then, we went to 496 to have our lunch. Back in the harmonica room, I played the drum while Sylvia played the piano. I was feeling damn bored there but the cheers and the multi players Scissors, Paper Stone game are kinda nice.

Then, Xiao Ting accompanied me to make my new pair of spectacles. It costs me 99 bucks. I really hate spending money because it's really hard to earn. (I sound like some Ah ma but I don't care.) I just collected my pay yesterday for february and bought ear piece at 14 bucks. It is damn heavy and I didn't really like it. I only like the design. Anyway, I chose one that has a white frame which is not too thick nor thin. It's actually half a frame as the bottom half is frameless. It took like 2 and 1/2 hours to be ready while I watched Hana Kimi at Xiao Ting's house. Xiao Ting had a blog too.

Totally look forward to April fool's day.

OG 8

Things are like so fast and I had finished my 3 days 2 night camp! Honestly, it was boring at beginning. No one cheer, no one talk and no one gives a damn. Then, the ice breaking session helped a little. I love mass dance and water games. I really thought that all OGLs are J2s till I saw Shijie. She was one of the leaders of OG 8. The singing session was fun too. I went to the command centre at night as I was feeling damn dizzy.

The next day, I was worked up by the barbaric OGLs cheering at the top of their lungs. Morning exercises totally sucks. I hurt my knees. Then more wet games. Someone bombed at my left eye and I see more floaters. I cursed the person to end up in my conditions. Back to the point, it was the dirtiest and wettest games I had even played. First, it just water. Then, the flour pool. I was damn reluctant to go down there but after the OGLs screamed, I walked in. I smelt of flour and someone commented that it was milk bath.

Then, soapy water and lastly Herbal Essence Shampoo water. I was itching by the end of the day. The station masters poured lots of shampoo on my head so I washed my hair with the hose. We also had to roll over rotten and smelly fruits but I managed to escape from it. After that, bathing time got the girls together chatting. I was sunburnt after getting so high at the games and I also had a sore throat. Then, when I was picking up the litter with Alicia and Karmila, a lizard ran across, which was right in front of me. Wow. I think it changed colour. After bathing, I changed into my family colour shirt. JJ night was so cool, sort of like clubbing. The dances are great and so are the songs! I danced with Xiao Ting. I also realised that one of the OGL, who speaks weirdly, is from Vietnam. She's nice though.

Jokes at camp

1. At water games, someone shot a high angle mud bomb towards the crowd of people standing in the field, while listening carefully to the station masters. It landed on somebody's shoulder.

Someone: Was that a packet of Kopi? I thought it was a bird.

2. One of our OGLs is called Ruth.

Ruth: Without me, you all will be ruthless.

Of course there are many many more jokes but I'm too tired to share. I met old friends like Taahira, Karmila and Shijie. Results are out and I was in class 24 with Taahira. I also bought my school uniform today. There was lots of lessons learned through the camp and I realised how emo people can get. No pizzas. I like JJC for some reasons and hate it too. It's a rather complex feeling which no one will understand. Hope everything gets better and I think I should go for Public Speaking or Inline Skating or Malay Language class. I don't know why but I chose Geography in the end. I was tempted to choose English Literature but after much consideration, I changed my mind. All thanks to Sherlock, I'm stuck with Geography for another two years.

I guess I need no one. It's nice being a loner sometimes.

Three

I'd watched Ethan Ong drumming this morning. His legs were barely able to reach the pedals the last time I saw him on tv. He'd grown so much and his drumming is like "wow" now. I felt that Davy Tan was still very far from him. Drumming lessons does help. Hmmm... Check it out.

More on Youtube. Another boy, Igor, is really cute!

Then, I had a quarrel with mum as she was being so insensitive. I went to Plaza Singapura, Dhoby Ghaut and registered for YDC. Never felt any better. After that, I rushed down to Lot 1 with YF, Deb, SM to watch Hannibal Rising. (NC16) It was by far the bloodest movie that I'd ever watched. I felt cold, stiff and nausea after watching it. A foolish man who abandoned love for revenge. I think that the book will be of less impact to me as the moving picture was really too bloody.

Now when I see meat, I felt disgusted but I still eat them. Whatever. Anyway, we went to Ajisen to have our dinner. Spent like 70 bucks in total. I spend about 240 bucks today. Gosh. YF did something silly. It seems like I'm on bad terms with my family. It reminds that the "God of Fortune" said I should correct my temper and attitude towards people. I think I should. I'm always feeling guilty though sometimes it wasn't my fault.

I'm half done with a study in a scarlet.

I'm proud of myself for being decisive though people seems unsupportive. "The sun will always shine. Don't let anyone bring you down."

SIS Building

It was drizzling and I hate being wet as I fall sick easily. I called Matt to find out the actual location but I still couldn't figure out where it was. I decided to ask a women walking by. She said "Huh?" and continued walking on with a snobbish face. A total bitch. She could at least say "I don't know". I said "fuck you la" and moved on. The second person I approached is an old lady, with her husband. She pointed to the left but said nothing.

I panicked and then asked the lady in the 7-11 shop across the street. Another lady who was having a conversation with her gave me an umbrella for free. How nice of her. I really appreciated that. She even gave me clear direction to the SIS building. Finally, I reached Vizon, totally drenched.

They don't know what I'm supposed to do. I met a man name Ah Hock and he pointed to a room. He told me to stay in there. I walked in and the room was rather dim. It was spacious but occupied with lots and lots of cartons stacked up, almost reaching the ceiling. I sat on a stool which is obviously a smaller version of a crate.

There's a stereo which is tuned to the 933 fm. I tapped my feet, while waiting for him. He helped me to cut cartons and took out the briefs. 2000 of them. Someone then stood at the door and shouted "Oi! Hello!" I only see a silhoutte of a man who looks like an angmoh to me. I didn't reply as I thought he was looking for Ah Hock. He moved towards me and I realised that it was my delivery man at Albert. Chey. Actually, I was rather surprised to see. He asked me why I was here and stuff, whether I wanted to work there permanently. It was meant to be a joke.

They are really funny guys. Ah Hock told me that the delivery man got a great voice. Then, the delivery man sang. Yup, he sounds like Bird Thongchai. Then, we laugh and laugh. Ah Hock said he stopped schooling at primary 3 and he said the delivery man at primary six but the delivery man said that he was from Raffles Instituition. Yeah right. It reminds me of "The Arena" though.

Matt came and reduced the number to 1000, which was still a lot. David talked to me too. Went home at 4:28 pm. I can't find the umbrella so I quickly ran back to the MRT station.

Hana Kimi is funny.
I'm looking forward to tomorrow.

Something Special

I watched the Oscar some days ago... I forgot which day it was. I must say that I totally love the sound effect choir. It's even better than beatboxing. As usual, there are touching speeches and artistic visual effects (The white screen). That's so Oscar.

Speeches from Forest Whitaker, Jennifer Hudson are so touching. For me, most touching and memorable speech made in the entire Oscar is from Ennio Morricone. He produces wonderful music and every note brings emotions to the heart. See, how emo I can be. He is really an inspirational man to me. Bravo. He deserves to have the Honorary Academy Award. I also like the moment whereby the screen flashes all the pictures actors and actresses who had passed away. "Memories of them though they are gone." It totally brought out the mood and atmosphere and you can see people crying.

I love the songs from Dreamgirls. However, I felt that Beyonce was a little too dramatic when she sang "Listen". I think she was too into the song and lost herself. Was it because of Jay Z?

All in all, I feel that it was so damn hard to win the Oscar and being in the nomination list is good enough.

Talking about wasting life, I realise how foolish people can get. Temptations ruin everything. I felt that I'm wasting my life too. Doing things that what people want me to. I'm going to break away. Really really soon. Till that day.

By the way, Matthew extended my work to 11th of March. To think I actually agreeded. (For the sake of money) I have to go down to SIS building, Vizon to do the price tags tommorow.

Good night.

More fun

I'd switched to selling shoes. Men shoes. Serene asked me to help.

I asked her why is it that men shoes are more expensive than women ones. She said men have bigger foot so require more leather in the making of it and therefore cost more. Quite logical but it sounded like a joke. Hmmm... The most expensive shoe sold there should be Masai Barefoot Technology. (MBT)

I missed Chingay, Parade of Dreams 2007! Arh! Dammit. Fadiah went though, after work. She told me that she went skiing in New Zealand. Totally awesome! Anyway, I talked more to Docker's and she said she's thirty years old. Damn... She looks like twenty four to me. She even have two kids, a girl (3) and a boy.(1) Wow!

Having a feast back home. Yum yum.

I'd just watched Neil Armstrong on moon in Apollo-11. I want to be on moon.

GW 8688J

That was the van's plate number. The van that carried the dead man's body, in a casket. The dead man was uncle, in other words, my father's brother.

This time, it was totally different. It was a christian ceremony, whereby they talk all about Jesus Christ, heaven, flowers, grass and then amen. It's kinda of like something new to me. I used to go to chinese funerals where there are a lot of chantings, joss sticks and procedures. The christian way was really simple and fast. I remembered that I'd watched a music video, Helena by My Chemical Romance. It's about the same where their loved ones place their hands on the back of van. Tears and more tears.

So, we went to the Mandai Crematorium & Columbarium and into Service Hall 2. As we went up the escalator, my Uncle commented (my sis told me that) that it's as if we are using the staircase to heaven, like the ones in Tom & Jerry.

The room have really high ceiling, wooden floor and walls. Rows and rows of seats and some mics. We sang 3 songs with two guitarists and then more words from the vicar and a translator which is redundant. (The vicar spoke in english). I had goosebumps. Then, each of us supposed to place a white chrysanthemum on the body. I was so close to my Uncle and he looks like a wax man to me.

Then we went to the Viewing Hall 2. Then, someone farted. My bro and I was looking at each other and giggled silently. I really want to burst out laughing but I can't. It wasn't the right time and containing the laughter inside of me is a really painful experience. I bear with it all the way and started laughing in one of the cubicle in the toilet. Damn. I hate that feeling. I share it with my sis but she said she didn't hear anything but my Uncle did. What an ironic chinese new year.

My father dropped me off at the Jurong Regional Library and I borrowed some books by Sir Conan Doyle (it was recommend by Christopher Francis Boone written by Mark Haddon) and some UFOs books.

Back to work, a new malay girl came two days ago to substitute Rosalind while she was in Thailand enjoying. So many people asked me that. "Where's your friend?", "Why you didn't go?" The Docker's one was really funny yesterday. Started to talk with the malay girl. I forgot her name. I think is Fadiah. Anyway, she and her friend are both funny.

So much for today. Bye.

CNY Day 2

More food, hongbaos and words today. Due to stupidity, I missed Survivor (Cooks Island) and it took me a couple of weeks to know why. Anyway, I caught it on Youtube. The finale plus the reunion. Damn nice and I was right that Yul wins. They were really good with words and it made the whole thing more interesting. Fiji Island is not bad too.

Work starts tomorrow. Back to face the idiots again. By the way, the Epic movie is really boring.

CNY Day 1

I'm the first one to wake up this morning.

Then, we went to the temple to pray. Then, to my Aunt's house to eat shark fin! I ate a lot of junk food. Lots of people there which means lots of hong bao. Then, we went to my next Aunt's house. More and more hong bao coming my way. Watched a really funny tv programme on TVBS which teaches four letter greeting words and sarcastic words to use during pig year. So so funny. My cousin wanted to give me the GP essays but they are books. (Shu) Which also means to lose. (using direct translation) Anyway, I didn't really care so I took it from her.

When I read the first essay, I realised that life is going to be hell with GP around. I then read the second essay. I found that one rather easy. My point is that, if I read more, I would be more aware of current affairs which will benefit me.

Then, everyone came my house and it was so crowded. My cousins played with my drumsticks and we chatted. Youngsters world. Then, a stupid incident happened which had nothing to do with me. I just dislike my Aunt's son's girlfriend. A person with really really low AQ. She doesn't know how to react to situations, though my cousin didn't mean it at all.

Then went to another Aunt's house. Eat again. Kept eating and eating. Then, I watched a really nice chinese movie on tv. The happiest thing is that I got a really really big hong bao. I mean the amount is huge, at least to me. Quite happy today.

Tomorrow still need to "bai nian"! Dammit. So tired. Going back to work on 20th Feb.

Happy Chinese New Year

Guess what, Serene gave me a hongbao. Ros and I were suppose to say a four letter word ( A good one though) to wish her. Whatever like "Nian Nian You Yu"... Too bad. My chinese is poor. Can't think of something that is very chim.

Then, I rushed home to eat steamboat. It's been a while since I last ate my meal with my family. Like for 47 days... Wow!

I managed to stay up late for the countdown. Dammit la, kept playing the same old chinese songs. I heard a hundred times while working. Now, it just gets on my nerves whenever I hear them. I can sing all of them liao... Speaking of work, I'd served one idiotic customer today. Anyway, whenever we met some idiotic customers, we don't talk bad in front of them. We curse them behind their backs. Muhahaha. Sounds really evil but I don't give a damn. I don't know how the others manage to stay on for so long... I'm leaving the place really really soon. For those looking for a job, please never be a promoter.

Reason number one, it's a low pay job. Number two, you stand all day long and have to do dozens of cartons of stocks especially when CNY is approaching. Number three, you had to bear with all their fussy requests and some don't even say thank you and just give you a sulky black face. Next, You have cuts, blue blacks almost everywhere when handling the cartons.Adding on, you have to think until your head burst, trying to stuff hundred of boxes of socks or whatever shit into the cupboard and storeroom which always seems to be insufficient. Worse of all, you have to tag the briefs and socks, arrange the mess made by idiots, beware of Xiao Tian Tian or her descendants and serve the customer all at the same time. Sometimes, there wasn't time to even go to the washroom to pee. Walao. I can write out a book on all the stuff sia. The only thing that made me stay is the friends I'd made. If not, I will leave immediately.

I want to do a lot of things!

To be continued...

Damn

My results sucks to the core. I'm not satisfied initially. 14 points in top ten made me lose all hope. It must be higher 14 points. Geez. Whatever. There's nothing to be happy about. I didn't cry because I don't feel like crying. It's just average.

The first person I ask is Ms Shamsiah. She said it's worth a shot to go JJC. Then, to be sure, I ask Mr Ooi. He said JJC is in the middle range and it's worth a shot. Then, Mrs Sunil came and I apologised to her. She's disappointed. (Where's my distinction?) Then, Ms Vani. Again. Damn... I felt like letting lots of people down especially myself. My advice to all the people who haven't take their 'O" levels is not to panic at all or something bad will happen. Keep your head cool at all times. Ms Vani said it's worth a shot to go junior college too. I asked Mr Tan too. He said that I scored fairly well for Chemistry and it's worth a shot. Afterwards, I asked Mrs Sunil about the General paper. It's about current affairs and personal thoughts. She said it's all up to me but I can sense that it's JC. I felt rather happy that no verbal skills is required and so I made my mind to go JJC. The problem is that i did not go for 3 months course.

I spoke to Lao Gao at harmonica room. I ended up in a dilemma because of it. I was hesitant about entering junior college. OMG.

I like the car Ling Sing was driving except that it's a little squeezy. Then, I had ice kachang at a shop. I was blessed by Ah Po when Yeong Sheng said something lame and Ah Buck and I kana. Hmm... that's about it. I had a dilemma again about attending the O school or Contempo Music school which both commence in March. Dang.

What's done cannot be undone. I'm just numb right now. Can't believe that few hours back, my heart was pounding like mad. Four of my Aunts, one of my cousin and my tuition teacher called. Everyone was like saying " You did well" but I know it's just a lie. They don't mean it but who cares. Refer to the bold words above again. I thought that HuiHui is so formidable with 6As but I just watched the news... People got 10 A1s. Total freaks! Must be some geniuses from other planets.

P.S: To all people who felt that they didn't do well, accept the fact and live on.

Not so average day

I realise that eveyone on earth is so busy with their own life and what's said will not really matter.

Worst day of my life. I can't believe that sensitivity level is so low. I don't know if it's deliberate or never meant or what so ever, I just couldn't trust it anymore. It's all phoney perhaps it's just wanna make use of me. I can forgive but never forget.

Never mind that. Today, the stocks came really late and Matthew told me to throw everything undone into the storeroom. I didn't even have the time to do that. I did OT with the rest and it was challenging. 7 cartons of shit in it. The cartons are huge, approximately 60X70X55 cm. There's about 50 to 80 smaller boxes in it. Busy packing the stuff... I really envy that guy called Alex. He's like so free going around while I was busy tagging stuff at my full speed. Of course, I didn't finish and I throw 1 and a 1/3 carton in the storeroom and the other 1 and 2/3 carton outside. It's bound to be a busy day tomorrow but I won't be going back but to the school instead so that doesn't really matter to me.

What's memorable tonight is that one of the colleagues of mine left the workplace for some unknown reasons. I bought something for her. Didn't really quite figure out what she'll like so I bought her a tiny tortise. Work life will be quite different without her and some other staff which are leaving too but it doesn't matter as it is not up to me to make them stay or go. Things just happen and I'm not Doraemon. I like it when people helped me. Like that guy which i don't know helped me. Then, Alex. Then another colleague.

The interesting bit of my life is that eveyone went crazy today. 4 companies from YGM, Vizon, Redina and I don't know the last one, all sent stocks down. The result? Totally chaotic. If I were to count the stocks, I think it will add up to a thousand. When the announcement was made and the lights went off, everyone went like "Quick!!! GOGOGO!!" We just dumped eveything at the counter and I pushed the trolley back but it was locked. It doesn't really matter because I don't give a damn too. I left it outside the room. It was so funny when people get really panicky and I was watching them.

I passed the blue bag to another colleague and she asked me why there isn't one for her too. I know that it was meant to be a joke but I was too tired to laugh. I just went in with the lift with Ros and met Fiona. I walked home alone. It was rather peaceful. I like being alone. It just sometimes freaks me out because I'm scared. I saw black shadows flying past so often but I just tell myself that there's something wrong with my eye. It's a fact so that sort of calms me down whenever I see black shadows.

I hate being touched in the trains even if it's a slight brush with my bag or my hand because I just hate that. I don't like being too near to strangers and they had to be at least a foot away from me if I sense their presence. If I'm doing some other things like reading a book, it will be a different story because I'm not aware of that. I wonder if there's anything wrong with me because I don't think that people feel the same way I did.

I came up with a plan for tomorrow's activity.

First. To the library.
Second. To school.
Third. To harmonica.

Actually, I didn't like the idea at all. I hope that it will just be like PSLE. Like 4 years ago. I gotta watch Survivor tomorrow. The remaining three are Ossy, Yul and Becky. I hope Yul wins because he's an Asian. His name is Yul which is half of my name. It is nonsensical but I don't care. Tomorrow's 'O's result shall change my life forever. I hope that it's a good change though.

Tata to SF. Good luck.

Shopping

Just now I went to LP Zone and Baleno to buy clothes for CNY. Got promotion so it's like quite cheap. For the first time, I bought ladies clothing. Hmmm... my mum will be over the moon. Everytime I buy unisex clothes which is like tomboyish, my mum will give me the black face although she will say anything la. Hehe. I don't know why but seeing her getting so pissed off makes me happy. SADDIST! UNFILIAL! I'm just kidding. Anyway, the clothes I bought is not girlish but more stylish I guess. So yup, that's about it.

Oh ya, I must stay really calm these few days if not blood vessels will burst. 'O' levels really pressurise me a lot. Anyway, come what may.

Bye.
Tomorrow got work. Sian. I mean YAY!

ASEAN ROCKS FESTIVAL

Hey people! The entry on the ARF event was rather brief so I decided to blog more on it as it was a memorable event, on the 29th Jan 2007.

The outside. It all started when a reckless driver went on top the roof and never came down.

It wrotes: ADMITS ONE (Complimentary)

This is the Hard Rock Cafe chop which everyone gets at the entrance. On my skin! Looks like a char siew bao to me. Hmmm...

This is Mr. James Brown's costume framed up. Initiallly, my sis and I was sitting so near to it so I decided to take a shot of it.

The light bulbs in the toilet. LALA.

The dark cafe with really loud music.

I really love the The Cells' version of Zombie (by Cranberries) and Knocking on heaven's door (by Bob Dylan). Apart from the english songs, I didn't really understand what the hell they were singing. Some Laos songs I think... One of the guitarists was like strumming on the guitar too hard and the string snapped. Hehe. It took them some time to get back on stage while Vernon A and Justin Ang from Perfect Ten Fm was talking crap once again. Hehe.

Next up, Bamboo! I really love them. The lead singer got a great voice and is damn charming. It's great that he made eye contact with the crowd and the girls were like ARHHH!!!! Everyone go like "BAMBOO! BAMBOO! BAMBOO!" I was having quite a lot of fun then. I love the solos by all the members especially Vic. I love the song "English Man" because the people are like so high, singing "I'm an alien, I'm a legal alien. I'm an Englishman in New York! Wo-Oh!"

Some videos on Youtube...
